Tips
• The festival of 'Heechsimmer' should not be missed. It takes place on the beach near the lake of Heegermer. Listen to the greatest music. From Blues till Frisian Rock. From dutch-singing bands till all-round top 40.

• From May till at September typical Frisian boats called ‘Skûtsjes’ will take part within a ferry-service from Heeg to Balk. These traditional ships will bring you to your destination while you enjoy the Frisian scenery on the way. This is a great possibility to get to know this typical way of sailing.
